Welcome Ranko Fukuda!

Please help us welcome Ranko Fukuda as the new Development Manager of LIFT-Los Angeles.

At LIFT-LA, Ranko leads the fundraising programs and event planning. She cultivates existing and new relationships with supporters of LIFT-LA across Los Angeles and works with the Regional Advisory Board on raising the awareness of LIFT-LA’s mission. She also plans and executes local events to raise funding and visibility for LIFT-LA.

Ranko LIFTs because she believes in the LIFT model – which not only breaks the poverty cycle of local members with personalized consultations, but also cultivates an amazing population of volunteer advocates who will take the LIFT strategy with them and continue to make positive impacts in their communities well beyond the LIFT offices.

After graduating from University of Michigan, Ranko spent 12 years with Capital One Financial, honing in on her Project and Program Management skills, as well as having the privilege of working in the CEO, President and Bank Presidents’ offices and managing a Bank charitable giving program. Her tenure at Capital One ended unexpectedly when the Great Northeast Earthquake and Tsunami affected her home country of Japan and she chose to move to Japan temporarily to help aid in disaster recovery with All Hands Volunteers. Upon her return to the US, Ranko moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the non profit sector to leverage her professional skills in making a difference. Outside of the office, Ranko enjoys salsa dancing, bikram yoga, organic farming, and spending time with her two dogs.
