Bentley Systems Partners with LIFT-Philadelphia to Tackle Local Poverty

PHILADELPHIA—Bentley Systems, Incorporated is partnering with LIFT-Philadelphia to address poverty in the city of Philadelphia.  The investment is part of Bentley’s STEM outreach funding initiatives, which support science, technology, engineering, and math needs for local, national and global nonprofit organizations.

Bentley’s donation will sustain and augment LIFT-Philadelphia’s current technology systems to better serve Philadelphia residents in need of employment, housing, and additional social services.  The grant will assist LIFT-Philadelphia in maintaining its client management database, keeping accurate client records, and tracking client progress.  It will also enable LIFT staff and volunteers to conduct comprehensive research into social service resources and strengthen community outreach to potential clients and their families.

Carol Rieg, Corporate Foundation Officer at Bentley, stressed that LIFT-Philadelphia’s work to combat poverty aligns strategically with Bentley’s efforts to build strong and vibrant communities throughout the region.  “As the leading supplier of software solutions for infrastructure, Bentley recognizes the incredible value and leverage that technology can provide to organizations, and nonprofits are no exception.  Technology is one of the keys to success for a nonprofit that wants to provide direct and meaningful service to community members, particularly when those members have little or no access to technology resources themselves,” says Rieg.  “Given LIFT-Philadelphia’s impact at the grassroots level, we are proud to be a resource partner to increase its outreach into the city.”

LIFT-Philadelphia Executive Director Josh Romalis says, “Bentley understands that robust technology systems are critical to the work that we do.  LIFT-Philadelphia is grateful for Bentley’s committed partnership and eager to make this investment produce real results for the Philadelphia community.”

Bentley System’s contribution to LIFT- Philadelphia’s important work also includes an active voice on its advisory board through Bentley Corporate Finance Manager Saba Tedla. Ms. Tedla will bring a new level of proactive leadership and financial expertise to the organization.
