On Wednesday, May 22, 2018, LIFT officially opened the doors to our newly combined national headquarters and regional DC site at 999 North Capitol St. NE, Washington DC.
We celebrated the occasion by inviting donors, supporters, board members, alumni and (most importantly) LIFT families to celebrate with us. Guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres and enjoyed a program with remarks by LIFT-DC Executive Director Kristy Arnold and LIFT CEO & Co-Founder Kirsten Lodal. We were also humbled and honored to have two distinguished guests, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton of Washington DC and Deputy Mayor HyeSook Chung of DC’s Health and Human Services Department, deliver words of support for our organization and families.
Guests were then treated to tours of our beautiful new space to learn how we’ve built our office from the ground up with families at top of mind. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our LIFT parent members into this new space and to begin the next chapter in LIFT’s mission to empower families to break the cycle of poverty.
