The LIFT community is deeply saddened by the passing of Mayor Thomas Menino. We are grateful for having had the opportunity to walk alongside him to lift children and families out of poverty. We are proud as we celebrate his legacy and inspired to be part of a city he believed had “courage, compassion and strength that knows no bounds.” Mayor Menino was a humble giant, whose presence can be felt in every corner of this city. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Angela, and to his family, friends, fellow Bostonians, and trusted servants of the city he loved so much.
