On June 19, LIFT-DC was spiced up with some lively chatter from our new friends at PricewaterhouseCoopers, an accounting firm located here in DC. LIFT-DC was lucky enough to get some enthusiastic PwC volunteers in bright orange t-shirts to enhance our conference room and lobby area at THEARC.
As our volunteers climbed ladders, painted, and chatted about the Nationals’ game that evening, I had a chance to talk to them about their past experiences with LIFT. One volunteer mentioned seeing LIFT on her college campus and considered becoming an Advocate during the fall semester. Another volunteer said she knew Members who used the resources here at LIFT-DC. What a small world!
Before heading to lunch with their fellow volunteers, our smiling volunteers put up empowering words in our lobby to welcome all our visitors.
That afternoon, PwC led professional development trainings for our Advocates. Our speakers sparked informative discussions about networking, branding, and landing the interview. Their presentations left a large impression on our Advocates that will undoubtedly help them strive in their professional lives and become better resources for our Members
