LIFT-Philadelphia was thrilled to welcome Senior Vice President Carol Clark Lawrence and Assistant Vice President Nelson Acevedo of PNC’s Community Development Banking to our West Office earlier this week. During their visit, LIFT client Gary Johnson and LIFT advocate Nirali Patel shared their personal LIFT stories and experiences; Gary, who has received a number of services at LIFT, including resume updates, taxes, and computer classes, was excited to announce that he recently was hired at an area hotel. Nirali, a Drexel Community Scholar, helped found LIFT’s Drexel Student Chapter, and has been instrumental in recruiting Drexel volunteers. Highlighting PNC’s dedication to community development and financial education, the team discussed ways to teach and enhance skills like budgeting and repairing credit scores for both LIFT advocates and clients. LIFT-Philadelphia is incredibly grateful for PNC’s support, and is excited to continue to working with a bank clearly dedicated to improving the lives of Philadelphians.
