LIFT-Chicago Region Welcomes Two New Site Coordinators

Some Americans choose to serve their country through military service, and others through national service programs like AmeriCorps.  LIFT-Chicago region is excited to welcome the following two outstanding AmeriCorps*National Direct Site Coordinators: Sarah Martin and Rukmini Reddy.

Sarah Martin: Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at North Central College in Naperville, IL with a B.A. in Global Studies and Sociology and a Minor in Business.  Following graduation she earned an M.A. in Comparative and International Social Policy from University of York in the United Kingdom.  Sarah has been very committed to social justice and volunteerism – her experiences include being a founding member of the Uncommon Life movement, which like LIFT engages college students in meaningful community volunteer opportunities.  Sarah will work at the LIFT-Evanston office.

Rukmini Reddy: Mini recently graduated from Tufts University with double majors in International Relations and Philosophy.  Mini brings with her a wealth of experience, including work with the Asian American Alliance, Children at Risk and Tufts Association of South Asians.  Mini studied abroad in Spain and speaks Spanish.  Mini volunteered with LIFT-Somerville and came highly recommended from colleagues in the Boston region.  Mini will be serving out of LIFT-Chicago’s Uptown office.
