We were honored to share our work in Washington, D.C. with you at last night’s Autumn Benefit. We were also moved and inspired by the ongoing commitment of the LIFT-DC family – our clients and their families, volunteers, Board and staff, event chairs, and host committee – and by the overwhelming show of new support.
At Thanksgiving celebrations all over the city and country next week, families and loved ones will gather to re-affirm a sense of connectivity that we believe is necessary in each of our lives. We felt that in the room last night. We are proud to live in a city where neighbors care for neighbors. Washington, D.C. is a place where we realize that supporting one another in times of need is what makes our city a community. Thank you for joining LIFT-DC in this effort.
Last night alone we raised $10,000 and were able to fully utilize the LIFT-DC Advisory Boards’ generous match of $10,000 – a huge thank you to everyone who donated. We still have $5,000 left to raise in order to reach our event goal of $100,000. We hope that you will consider making a donation in support of LIFT-DC.
