LIFT-Chicago’s Holiday Family Celebration

LIFT Chicago’s annual holiday party was a big success! Spending the evening with our LIFT families, as well as LIFT staff and coaches, was so much fun and a great chance to get to know our families outside of our regular coaching meetings at our office. The event took place at Bronzeville’s Renaissance Collaborative, which was a perfect space for our party – plenty of room for families to sit, eat, and talk, and for kids to play. We were able to cater dinner from a favorite local restaurant and enjoyed some Southern comfort food to kick off the night. Families had a chance to visit our holiday photo booth for some fun family pictures, and our Little LIFTers had a great time decorating cookies, watching a movie, and crafting a holiday ornament. Our staff, coaches, and parents were all smiles as we ate together, chatted, ran around with some kids, and raffled off gift cards.

Community members were also kind enough to step in and donate travel mugs, candles, comics, and books as gifts for our families. LIFT is especially thankful for Providence Bank and Trust of Bronzeville for generously providing lead sponsorship for our holiday event. It was through their support that we were able to provide our families with such great gifts to take home! Other community sponsors that helped support our event include Pearl’s Place, Paper Source, Dollop Coffee, Pilsen Community Books, Open Books, and First Aid Comics. We couldn’t have made this event such a success for our LIFT families without the amazing support of the community.
